This class meets the requirements needed to demonstrate training as part of the Florida Concealed Carry Permit application, and provides you with the information needed to be a responsible firearm owner and concealed carry permit holder. We will cover a variety of topics including self and home defense plans, firearm fundamentals , defensive shooting strategies, the use of force, violent encounters and the aftermath, firearm accessories and carry options, and specific information that explains concealed carry rules and requirements for the State of Florida.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.

NRA Basics Of Pistol Shooting
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways. One option is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. The other option has two components: a self-study or “eLearning module” which is completed online in your own time frame and a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range with an Instructor.
Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. This course is at least eight hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone,(range specific) sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. The RSO course content consists of RSO's roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency.

This course teaches essential life saving strategies for self-aid and care for others, in an Active Shooter, accidental discharge, or traumatic injury situation. Instruction includes Care Under Fire, rapid trauma assessments, bleeding control using hemostatic agents, combat dressings and tourniquet application for self and others, emergency airway management and basic relocation techniques using skill stations and scenarios to guide learning.

This 2 hour course includes hands-on practice of bleeding control using direct pressure application, hemostatic agents, wound packing, combat dressings, and tourniquet application for self and others. This course teaches skills needed to stabilize and control bleeding after an accident or injury that results in blood loss.
This course is available on location for groups of 10 or more.
This full day course teaches recognition and treatment for a variety of first aid emergencies including burns, lacerations, and abrasions, head, neck, back, and extremity injuries, heat and cold emergencies, and how to respond to, and care for, respiratory and cardiac events. Upon successful course completion, certification is valid for 2 years.
